Promotional concert for the project of digitalisation
of the Łańcut music

The concert that took place on 10th October 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Ballroom of the Łańcut Castle as part of the promotion of the “Łańcut Musicalia” Project was organized jointly by the Horizon Art Society and the Director of the Castle Museum in Łańcut. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Łańcut Stanisław Gwizdak. During the gala evening, the audience were able to hear forgotten and previously unperformed musical works of Polish and German composers from the collection of the Łańcut Library. The concert was performed by both Polish musicians and guests from Germany: Lev Sivkov – cello (State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart), Anna Krawczyk – soprano, Mirosław Herbowski and Przemysław Winnicki – piano, Julia Ulman and Agnieszka Kopeć – piano (students of the Łańcut School of Music), and the Kamerata Krakowska Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Matthias Hermann (Stuttgart).

Both the promotional concert and the entire Łańcut music digitalisation project, initiated and carried out by the Horizon Art Society in cooperation with the Castle Museum in Łańcut, gained the recognition of the Head of the Małopolskie Region Marek Nawara and Mayor of the City of Rzeszów Tadeusz Ferenc. At the opening of the concert, Wit Karol Wojtowicz, Director of the Castle Museum in Łańcut, read out a congratulatory letter from the Head of the Region to the project participants, which was handed over to the Castle Director and the President of the Society Beata Płoska. The Mayor of the City of Rzeszów, in a special letter to the Castle Director and the Society President, expressed his vivid interest in the project and passed on his greetings and gratitude to the artists performing at the concert.
